Who we are
newjerseyconcealedcarry.com is an advertising and referral service connecting New Jersey residents with certified firearms instructors. We are not affiliated with the State of New Jersey or any government agency.
Information we collect
Information you provide.When you submit the "Request information" form, we collect your first name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, and your consent to be contacted, along with the timestamp, IP address, and browser (user agent) at the time you submitted it. When you sign up for a renewal reminder, we collect your email, your permit's expiry month and year, and optionally your town. When you submit a data request, we collect your email and the details you provide.
Information collected automatically.We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, which sets analytics cookies once you've consented via the cookie banner. We also use Plausible, a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics tool that sets no cookies and collects no personal data. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish real visitors from bots.
How we use it
- To connect you with certified instructors who can help with your permit
- To respond to your questions and requests
- To send the renewal reminders you signed up for, and nothing else
- To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
- To detect and prevent spam and abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
How we share it
When you submit the request information form and check the consent box, we share your contact information with up to three certified firearms instructors serving your area, as described in that form's consent text.
We also share information with service providers who help us run the site: Resend (email delivery), Cloudflare (bot protection), and Google Analytics and Plausible (site analytics). These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell your information for money. Depending on how it's defined, sharing with instructors may still count as a "sale" under the New Jersey Data Privacy Act — see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information to opt out.
Your rights under the New Jersey Data Privacy Act
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, or its use for targeted advertising. Use the request form at Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information to exercise any of these rights. We respond within 15 days, as required by the NJDPA.
We honor the Global Privacy Control signal automatically. If your browser or a browser extension sends it, we suppress non-essential tracking without you needing to take any action.
Data retention
We retain lead and renewal-reminder records for up to 24 months, after which we delete or anonymize them, unless we're required to keep them longer for legal reasons.
